A very pretty vintage diamond ring from the mid-20th century. A square head, measuring approx. 9.50mm square and set with five early round brilliant cut diamonds, the centre diamond measures approx. 3.70mm x 3.60mm x 2.07mm deep, is set to a surround of four diamonds which measure between 2.70mm-2.80mm diameter. The shoulders are each set with three old eight-cut diamonds measuring between 1.10mm-1.50mm. Estimated total 0.53ct, assessed clarity VS, assessed colour H/I, shoulder diamonds assessed as I/J colour. Beaded and rub over settings in white open work scroll design to the head, "D" shaped white shank. Marked "18CT&PT", tests as 18ct white gold with part of the setting assessed as platinum.
