An antique gold bangle from the romantic Art Nouveau era and hallmarked for the year 1911. The bangle has an open boat-shaped front which is set to the centre with a peridot and pearl flower cluster with pearl leaves and surrounded by scroll pattern wire work decoration embellished with seed pearls and gold beads.
The decorated centrepiece measures approx. 1.75 inches long x 0.38 inches wide (maximum). This gemset centrepiece continues to a knife-edge gold bangle which opens by a hinge and fastens by a V spring snap catch and safety chain. Both the hinge and the catch are in good working order.
Inside the band, just next to the hinge, is the hallmark from the Birmingham Assay Office showing the year the bangle was created as 1911.
