A Belle Epoque diamond and enamel pendant necklace with three interchangeable guilloche enamel plaques, one each in pink, pale blue, and mid-blue. The pendant outline is in the form of an abstract kite-shape pendant measuring 1.96 inces by 0.98 inch and is set throughout with old cut and rose cut diamonds around a central old cut diamond cluster to a circular knife edge bar grid, suspended from a diamond set bail. The combined total estimated diamond weight is approx. 0.60 carat with colour G/H/I, clarity VS2/SI1. The pendant suspends from a trace link chain necklace 15.4 inches longand fastening with a barrel clasp. Complete with the custom made presentation case which contains a tool for removing the back plate in order to change the enamel inserts.
The necklace is in good condition, although there is very minor wear to the centres of the enamel plaques where they fit to the screw fitting and which are hidden when worn. There is also slight surface scratching to the back plate where the tool has slipped with use. The back plate and plaques are stamped 'PATENT 23105 OCT. 5TH 1910'.
