This antique gold locket, which dates from the English Edwardian era, is a hand-engraved with an ivy-leaf pattern and on the reverse with an ivy-leaf pattern surrounding a central, plain polished panel. The locket was assayed as 15ct gold at the Birmingham Assay Office in 1908. The makers' initials (S.B. & S Ld.) is also stamped. The measurements are 0.88 inch diameter x 0.19 inch deep. On a hinged opening the locket has two compartments for keepsakes.
