An antique opal ring set with five cabochon cut oval opals graduating in size from the centre opal at approx. 3.0mm x 5.0mm to 2.0mm x 4.0mm at each end. Displaying a play of blue, green and orange fire, the opals are complimented by the yellow gold claw settings with a carved and pierced scroll work gallery. The D-shaped cross-sectioned band measures approx. 2.4mm wide and is hallmarked 18ct gold from the Birmingham Assay Office for the year 1902.
