An antique memorial ring, created circa 1860s, is set to the centre with a mixed cut synthetic ruby of elongated oval shape, measuring approx. 6.3mm x 4.1mm, to a surround of 10 rub-over/graint set white seed pearls, approx. 3.2mm to 3.4mm diameter, to a scalloped yellow gold millegrain edge to closed back reverse.
Trefoil millegrain edge shoulders each set with three round white seed pearls, measuring between 2.3mm to 3.0mm diameter, continuing to a foliate engraved, tapering "D" shaped cross section shoulder and grooved yellow gold band.
The ring is not hallmarked but it tests as 15ct gold. In good condition.
