An old ring from the Victorian era set beautiful oval shaped, mixed cut sapphire to the centre and with an old European cut diamond and two rose cut diamonds to each side. The sapphire and diamonds are claw set in yellow gold to an ornately carved mount with grooved shoulders onto a plain D shaped band. The sapphire is approx. 1.28ct whilst the diamonds weigh approximately 0.85ct in total and have been assessed as G-I colour and SI1/SI2 clarity. The has been handmade and although, as often seen with antique jewellery, there is no hallmark, it reacts to tests as 18ct yellow gold. Finger size K, resizing possible.
