Crafted in the late Victorian era these earrings are known as "Day and Night" due to their ability to be converted from evening wear drops to day time studs.
The "stud" part of the earrings is a stylised leaf pave set with old cut diamonds. A removable drop of a knife-edge gold bar set with a small diamond to each side to a drop of graduated old cut diamonds in yellow collet settings and a terminal pear shaped drop set with five graduate old single cut diamonds in yellow claws.
Total estimated diamond content 2.80ct with assessed colour J-K and assessed clarity SI1-I21.
The stud measures 1.40cm x 1.40cm and when attached to the "Night" drop the earrings measures from top to tail approx. 4.5cm (1.88 inches).
Weight of both earrings 6.2gms. No hallmarks, testing as approx. 18ct yellow gold
