A stunning Art Deco diamond and platinum brooch being an open work panel measuring approx. 43.1mm x 9.3mm. Centrally set with an old European cut, pear shaped diamond approx. 0.80ct in a millegrain setting. The diamond measuring approx. 7.40mm x 4.90mm x 3.41mm and with colour and clarity assessed as H/I and SI respectively.
The central diamonds sits slightly raised against a background of 16 old European/old Swiss cut diamonds measuring from 3.30mm x 3.50mm to 2.0mm x 1.90mm, together with four rose cut diamonds each approx. 1.30mm diameter. These 20 small diamonds combine to given an approximate carat weight of 1.10ct and colour and clarity of J and SI.
The brooch fastens with a revolving safety catch. Unmarked, the main section tests as platinum with a 9ct white gold pin. Gross item weight 5.73gms. The dark red leather box with blue silk and velvet lining complete the purchase to make an impressive gift on presentation.
