An Art Deco locket circa 1920's with engine-turned engraving typical of the era. The locket is round and has been engraved on both sides with a striped pattern of plain polished stripes alternating with a reeded pattern stripe further adorned with a chevron design. The centre front also has a shield shaped cartouche with the initial "EL" in fine and elegant script. The reverse of the locket bears the hallmark for 9ct gold from the Birmingham Assay Office though, unfortunately, the date letter has not been struck clearly. Measuring approx. 1 inch diameter and 0.13 inch deep, the locket is hinged and photos or keepsakes of your choice may be enclosed. A gold loop to the top enables a locket to move freely along its gold chain.
PLEASE NOTE: The chain is shown for illustration purposes only. We would be happy to quote for a chain.
