An Art Deco diamond fancy cluster ring in an openwork geometric design head approx. 20mm wide in a typical 1920s plaque design. The ring is set with 18 old cut diamonds which are held in white rub over, flush bead and carre settings. The cluster sits on a plain polished white band approx. 2.3mm. wide with pointed shoulders to the diamonds. Unhallmarked, stamped "18CT" and testing as approximately 18ct white gold and platinum. Finger size 8 7/8 (US/Canada) R 1/2 (UK/Australia).
The diamond sizes are as follows:
1 at 4.2mm x 2.2mm deep
2 at 3.7mm diameter each
4 at 3.4mm diameter each 11 at 2.7mm to 1.6mm diameter each (all sizes approximate)
The calculated total diamond weight is 2.02ct and the colour and clarity have been assessed as I-K and SI1-I1 respectively.
