Open work clip with scroll and ribbon detail, set througout with approx. 119 diamonds to include a principal old European cut diamond, measuring approx. 3.00mm diameter x 2.00mm depth, together with approx. 86 single cut diamonds measuring from approx. 1.60mm to 1.00m diameter and approx 33 old European cut diamonds measuring from approx. 1.70mm to 1.00mm diameter, grain set with millegrain borders.
The clip has a hinged back panel with openwork detail. Clip unmarked, XRF tested and valued as approx. 900 grade platinum. Back panel XRF tested as approx. 9ct white gold. Clip length approx. 59.00mm x 22.00mm x 10.00mm.
Estimated principal diamond weight 0.10ct. Estimated total overall diamond weight of the approx. 119 diamonds 1.40ct, assessed colour G/H/I, assessed clarity VS-SI.
Overall condition very good. Circa 1900. Brooch accompanied by a fitted case inn a silk lining, reading "By appointment to HM The King, The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd, 112 Regent Street, London W1. Gross item weight 11.82gms.
