An Edwardian ruby and diamond cluster ring set to the centre with an octagonal cushion, cushion shaped, Swiss-cut ruby of slightly purple mid-red colouor, measuring approx. 4.4mm x 4.2mm x 2.06mm and with a weight of approx. 0.36ct. The ruby is in a yellow rub over setting to a round cluster head of 10 round/cushion shaped old cut diamonds. The diamonds in the surround, which measure from 3.3mm to 2.3mm in diameter, have a combined weight of approx. 1.25ct with colour and clarity assessed as H-K and SI1-I1 respectively. They are held in rub over and carved claw settings to fancy scroll engraved shoulders to a yellow gold band 1.8mm wide. No hallmark, testing as approx. 18ct yellow gold throughout. Age assessed as circa 1900-1910 and in very good condition. Finger size 6 3/4 (US/Canada); N 1/2 (UK/Australia) with resizing available one or two sizes either way which we can carry out in our own jewellery workshops.
