An exquisite antique diamond ring from the late Victorian era set with five graduating old European cut diamonds. Measuring from approx. 5.22mm x 4.5mm to 3.9mm x 4.0mm the diamonds have shared claw settings and are interspersed with eight rose cut diamonds. As ever with Victorian jewellery, attention to detail is everything and the gallery on this ring is no exception being carved scroll work. The shoulders are also embellished having a grooved pierced design before flowing to the the D shaped cross sectioned band. The calculated principal diamond is 0.62ct with the other old European and rose cuts collectively bring up the total diamond content to 2.09ct. Overall the colour is assesed as I-J with clarity approx. SI1-SI2. Finger size 6.75 (US/Canada), N1/2 (UK/Australia) with some resizing possible. Unhallmarked and testing as 18ct yellow gold. Gross item weight 3.46gms.
