An exquisitely crafted gold brooch from the English George V era and of the 'sentimental' style of jewellery. The brooch features and elegant lady's hand with pretty, frilled cuff. Around the wrist is a curb chain bracelet with a heart shaped pendant suspending.

The fingers are extended and we can see that not only is the lady engaged by the diamond on her third finger, but she also holds a heart between her forefinger and thumb.

All the symbolic elements of love and betrothal are here in one delightful and collectible English jewel. The gold has a soft, textured finish.

Hallmarked on the reverse with the marks from the Birmingham Assay Office. Measuring 15mm x 37mm.
