A beautiful antique ring from the late Victorian era with three round, mixed cut rubies and two old European cut diamonds alternating in a boat shaped setting. The gemstones are all held in a mix of yellow double and single prongs from a scalloped edge mount. The shoulders have decorative carving to a yellow round D shaped, cross section band. The band is not hallmarked but is stamped 18ct and tests as such. The gemstones measure from 3.00mm to 4.0mm approximately. The two diamonds are estimated to weigh 0.40ct and have colour and clarity assessed as H/I and VS. Gross item weight 3.52gms. Finger size Q (UK/Australia), 8 (US/Canada) with some resizing possible.
