An unusual version of a 1930's/40's wedding or eternity ring. Normally set with diamonds of the same size this is a little different, and all the nicer for it, by having a row of nine old European cut diamonds graduating in size from approx. 4.37mm x 4.18mm diameter at the centre to approx. 2.6mm and 1.3mm diameter to each side. Additionally, the back of the ring is set with eight rose cut diamonds. The edges of the ring have a neat flat profile decorated with a rope twist pattern. The ring, which is stamped P.P. LD, is unhallmarked but reacts to testing as platinum throughout. The diamonds combine to give a carat weigh tof 1.85ct with colour and clarity assessed as G-J and SI1-I2 respectively. Excellent condition.
